Leadership:

Memory Lane Portraits is owned and operated by Stephen B. Dey, Master Photographer and Certified Professional Photographer. Mr. Dey is the only Master Photographer on Island and was named 2006 National Photographer of the Year by the Professional Photographers of America Association. In addition to Hilton Head Island, he also owns and operates a portrait photography studio in Charlotte, N.C., called Charlotte Image Photography, Inc.

History:

Memory Lane Portraits was established in 2002. The company was the first family beach portrait business to photograph and present images to its clients within 24 hours of their portrait session. We use state-of-the-art equipment and the latest technologies to produce heirloom quality artwork. Our vision has been copied by others but never duplicated. Mr. Dey has high standards for quality and perfection second to none.

Experience:

Your family portrait will be taken on the beautiful beaches of Hilton Head Island. We have spent many hours perfecting our process to minimize the impact on your precious vacation time. Your session on the beach will last approximately 45 minutes. We are committed to capturing the essence of your family's personality, relationships and emotions in each portrait. Following your location shoot, your family is invited back to our gallery, conveniently located in Sea Pines Center, to review your images and make your selections. Customers enjoy a relaxing presentation with some refreshments in our home theater-type gallery. The average viewing process takes about one hour.

Additional Services:

The team put together for Memory Lane Portraits can handle any genre of photography from preschools and sport leagues to weddings, corporate events and advertising campaigns. In the fall of 2007, we are also expanding our services to offer customers studio portraiture, in addition to our primary business of beach portraiture.

Experience is something often overlooked with wedding photography. Mr. Dey and his staff bring the experience of having photographed over 3000 events and weddings.

We have been successful in this market because we simply do it better than any other photography company.
